With support from Trividend, Piet Colruyt, and other impact investors, the Belgian fashion rental platform is growing beyond its borders.
Antwerp, Tuesday 24 June 2025 – Belgian fashion rental platform Dressr has successfully closed a €1 million seed funding round. The capital will be used to accelerate growth in Belgium, strengthen the platform’s technology, and enable expansion into the Dutch market.
The funding comes from a diverse group of investors, including impact entrepreneur Piet Colruyt (via OYA Seed and private capital), Trividend, Trividend Province of Antwerp, and business angels Thomas Van Overbeke, Patricia Laureys, and Rémi Wildschut.
A scalable, stylish alternative to fast fashion
Dressr gives consumers access to high-quality fashion without the need to buy. Customers can rent individual pieces (from €24 to €65 per piece) with a retail value of up to €800. Subscription plans are also available, allowing renters to wear and swap two to eight items per month.
After an initial trial period, most users opt for an affordable annual subscription:
“Thanks to Dressr, it feels like I have an endless wardrobe without having to own everything. For €56 a month, I wear outfits worth more than €12,000 a year. I discover new brands, save time, and choose a smarter way to engage with fashion.” – Dressr renter
The collection includes outfits for every occasion: from workdays and presentations to coffee dates and weddings. Pieces are professionally cleaned, repaired when needed, and delivered ready-to-wear in reusable packaging.
Next Step: Launching in the Netherlands
To meet rising demand, Dressr is expanding its physical inventory and showroom space in Belgium while preparing the platform for international growth—starting with the Netherlands.
“In recent months, I’ve received several messages via LinkedIn from Dutch consumers asking when Dressr would be available there,” says founder Caroline Baeten.
“One person said they wanted to gift a subscription, having been a long-time Rent the Runway user in the US. These signals confirm that the time is right to make fashion rental more accessible in the Netherlands.”
Founder Caroline Baeten:
“Dressr is a scalable model, but scaling up requires the right infrastructure and tech support. That demands investment, but we’ve chosen to grow step by step: lean, focused, and close to our community.”

About Dressr
Dressr is a Belgian platform connecting fashion lovers with local labels to make clothing rental accessible at scale. Renters rent monthly or for special occasions from a curated collection of 4,000 pieces.
Dressr helps reduce textile waste and overproduction, encouraging a mindset shift: from owning to using, from impulse to intentional style. Through its partnership with Opnieuw & Co—an organization employing people distanced from the labor market—Dressr also delivers tangible social impact. It’s a circular model where fashion, tech, and inclusion come together.
How It Works
Dressr offers two ways to rent:
10 day rental: Ideal for a party, presentation, or special moment. Customers choose an item from €24, return it easily after use.
With a subscription: Renters choose a plan with 2 to 8 pieces per month. They decide how often and how many items to swap—fully flexible, tailored to their lifestyle. Items are professionally cleaned, repaired if needed, and delivered in reusable packaging.
Customers can also choose to buy rented items after their rental period—keeping the piece and freeing up a slot for something new.
Fast service: Orders placed before 10:00 AM are delivered the next business day, ready to wear, stylishly packaged, and with a return label included.
