The Dhakhan black-and-green gala dress is a unique high fashion dress. The dress has a straight fit at the top, while it flows wide from the waist down. The black ribbed fabric top part of this high fashion item stretches lightly for a perfect fit. The neckline and armholes are finished with a black ribbed cotton mix.

On the top part of this black and green dress, there is a floral pattern embroidered with a very special embroidering technique, goldwork embroidery. Everyone praises this traditional embroidery for how it captures and plays with light. The embroiders cut the metal wires by hand to the precise length. They use these little strips as beads to embroider it in a set out artwork in various ways and stitches. We put the goldwork embroidery on this black-and-green gala dress as patchwork on the ribbed fabric. It goes asymmetrical, from the waist on the right side up to the collar bone on the left side.

The gold work embroidery goes over in ruffled chiffon in shades of green and black. The green ruffles come in olive green, sage green, moss green, and petrol. They give an organic feel to this unique handmade dress. The raw edge chiffon is reminiscent of seaweed, coming from the inspiration of our Siren concept. We set the ruffles on a black lace base. This dress is asymmetrical. It is shorter on the sides, and longer on the front and in the back.
